Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
1/2 cup white chocolate chips, optional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and chopped strawberries until combined
In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture to form a gently crumbly dough
Press the dough into a greased 8-inch square baking pan
Sprinkle white chocolate chips evenly over the dough surface if using
Bake for 30 minutes, or until edges are golden and center is set
Cool completely before cutting into 16-20 rectangular bites
Notes
Chopping strawberries finely ensures even distribution and prevents sogginess.
For extra crunch, substitute 1/4 cup chocolate chips with crushed nuts.
Butter must be softened; refrigerate for 10 minutes if too warm before creaming.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
