2 cups boiling water
1 cup cold water
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
8 oz cream cheese, softened

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
In a large bowl, mix gelatin powder with boiling water until dissolved
Stir in cold water and melted butter until blended
Pour the wet mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish
Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the top
