2 cups crushed pretzels
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup melted unsalted butter
2 (8-ounce) packages softened cream cheese
2 cups Cool Whip or whipped topping
1 (12-ounce) jar seedless strawberry preserves
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries (optional, for topping)
Instructions
Crush pretzels until finely ground. Combine with 1 cup sugar and melted butter; press mixture into a 9-inch pie dish.
In a bowl, mix cream cheese with ½ cup sugar until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip until fully combined.
Spread preserves over the cooled pretzel crust, then dollop the cream cheese mixture evenly on top. Gently tilt to spread.
Chill for 4 hours until set. Top with fresh strawberries before serving.
Notes
Use unsalted butter for control over crust saltiness. Replace Cool Whip with homemade whipped cream if preferred. Ensure pretzels are finely crushed for an even crust texture.
