Ingredients
2 cups graham crackers, finely crushed
1 cup salted butter, melted
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and peanut butter until thoroughly incorporated.
Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar into the mixture while stirring until you achieve a smooth dough consistency.
Press the peanut butter mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of a parchment-lined 9×9 inch square baking pan.
Melt the chocolate chips in a heat-proof bowl using a microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the peanut butter layer using a spatula.
Refrigerate the tray for at least two hours until the chocolate layer is firm before slicing into bars.
Notes
Ensure you sift the powdered sugar to avoid lumps in your base. Keep the bars refrigerated until serving for the best texture. If you prefer a crunchier topping, you can stir a teaspoon of peanut butter into the chocolate chips before melting.
