Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese (fully softened)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 package (8 ounces) Cool Whip (thawed)
1 package (3.4 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
3 cups milk (whole or 2%)
14–16 Oreos, crushed (or chocolate sandwich cookies for a substitute)
Vanilla extract (optional, for flavor enhancement)
Sprinkles or cocoa powder, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare an 8-inch by 8-inch or 9-inch by 9-inch baking dish.
Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs. Press the crushed cookies evenly into the bottom of the dish to form a firm crust.
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and well combined.
Fold in the thawed Cool Whip until light and airy. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cookie crust.
In a separate bowl, prepare the instant chocolate pudding mix according to the package instructions using the 3 cups of milk. Stir until smooth.
Pour the chocolate pudding layer over the cream cheese layer, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the layers are fully set.
Before serving, garnish with additional crushed Oreos, chocolate shavings, or sprinkles if desired.
Slice into 12 pieces and serve chilled.
Notes
For a halal or non-dairy option, replace the Cool Whip with non-dairy whipped topping.
If the cream cheese is lumpy, ensure it is well softened before blending.
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free Oreos or crushed chocolate sandwich cookies.
