Ingredients
1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
2.5 cups Granulated Sugar
5 Large Eggs, room temperature
3 cups All-Purpose Flour, sifted
1 cup Whole Milk
1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
0.5 tsp Baking Powder
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour a standard Bundt or tube pan.
Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together in a stand mixer until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Incorporate the vanilla extract into the butter mixture.
Whisk the flour and baking powder together in a separate bowl.
Add the dry ingredients and the milk to the butter mixture in three alternating batches, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
Mix only until the flour streaks disappear.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 60 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature to prevent the batter from curdling. Do not overmix the batter once the flour is added, as this will toughen the cake crumb. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
