Ingredients
2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
6 cups water, divided
Ice cubes, for serving
Fresh mint sprigs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
In a blender, puree the strawberries until smooth. Set aside.
In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry puree, lemon juice, and sugar.
Pour in 4 cups of water and stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
Just before serving, add the remaining 2 cups of water and ice cubes to chill.
Serve the lemonade in glasses and garnish with fresh mint sprigs, if desired.
Notes
Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
Adjust the water and sugar quantities based on personal taste preferences.
Lime juice can be used in place of lemon juice for variation.
Chilling allows the flavors to develop, so plan ahead.
