Ingredients
2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved (plus more for garnish)
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 4–6 large lemons)
3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjustable to taste)
4 cups cold water
Ice cubes, for serving
Fresh mint sprigs, optional (for garnish)
Instructions
Halve and hull strawberries
Combine 2 cups strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar in a blender
Blend until partially pureed (leave some texture)
Strain mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher
Add remaining whole/sliced strawberries to the pitcher
Stir in cold water to thin to desired consistency
Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving
Serve over ice with fresh strawberries and mint
Notes
Use super-ripe strawberries for maximum sweetness
Test and adjust sweetness level before chilling
Freeze leftovers for 2-3 weeks
Crushed strawberries add extra visual appeal
