Ingredients
Ladyfingers (Savoiardi) 24-30 cookies
Strong brewed coffee or espresso (cooled) 1.5 cups
Mascarpone cheese (full-fat) 8 ounces (227g)
Heavy whipping cream 1 cup (240ml)
Powdered sugar (confectioners’ sugar) 1/2 cup (60g)
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Cocoa powder or dusted cocoas for garnish
Optional: Fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries) for topping
Instructions
Prepare cooled coffee (non-alcoholic) in a shallow bowl
Whip heavy cream until medium stiff peaks form
Add mascarpone to whipped cream in a bowl
Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla extract until fully combined
Alternately, use an electric mixer for smoother texture
Dip each ladyfinger quickly into coffee without sogginess
Add one layer of dipped ladyfingers to each cup
Spoon equal portions of mascarpone filling over ladyfingers
Repeat to create second layer with ladyfingers and filling
Crumble cocoa over top of each cup
Option: Garnish with fresh berries or non-alcoholic chocolate shavings
Chill for at least 2 hours before serving
Notes
Use instant coffee granules dissolved in hot water as non-alcoholic alternative
Crumble sponge cake can replace ladyfingers if necessary
Mascarpone must be at room temperature for smooth blending
Chill at least 2 hours for firm set
