Ingredients
18 oz cookie dough
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan thoroughly with butter or non-stick vegetable spray.
Spread the cookie dough evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish using a spatula.
Sprinkle the dry cake mix uniformly over the cookie dough layer.
Pour the melted butter slowly over the entire surface of the cake mix.
Scatter the chocolate chips across the top to ensure even distribution.
Insert the pan into the center rack of your preheated oven.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the edges turn golden brown and the center sets.
Remove the pan from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use unsalted butter to maintain total control over the seasoning of your dessert. Ensure the cookie dough is at room temperature to make it spreadable without dragging. Optional heavy cream can be drizzled over the top before baking for added moisture.
