Ingredients
6–8 medium limes
1 can (14 oz/396g) sweetened condensed milk
4 cups cold filtered water
2 cups crushed ice (plus more for serving)
1/4 teaspoon salt
Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Blend limes (peel, pith, flesh, and seeds) with 1 cup water until smooth
Strain mixture through fine mesh sieve into large pitcher
Discard pulp and seeds
Stir in sweetened condensed milk until fully combined
Add remaining 3 cups water and salt
Chill 15 minutes
Pour over fresh ice in glasses
Garnish with mint leaves
Notes
Do not substitute lemons as limes provide essential tartness
Use reduced-fat milk for lighter version (though texture will change)
Add 1-2 extra limes for stronger flavor
Top with fresh lime wedges if desired
