Ingredients
Chocolate Wafer Cookies (16 oz package)
Heavy Whipping Cream (3 cups)
Powdered Sugar (1 cup, sifted)
Vanilla Extract (1 teaspoon)
Cherry Pie Filling (21 oz can, drained of excess syrup)
Fresh Cherries (1 cup, pitted and halved, optional)
Chocolate Shavings (1/4 cup, for garnish)
Instructions
Chill the mixing bowl and whisk in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
In a large rectangular dish, spread a layer of chocolate wafers to cover the bottom.
Spread half the whipped cream over the wafers.
Add half the cherry pie filling and evenly distribute.
Repeat with another layer of wafers and remaining whipped cream and cherries.
Garnish with fresh cherries and chocolate shavings.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before slicing into 12 even portions.
Notes
Use a 9×13-inch baking dish or similar container
Cookies will soften slightly in the fridge for better flavor integration
Substitute gluten-free cookies if needed
For a halal garnish, use vegan chocolate shavings
