  • Total Time: 265
  • Yield: 16 bars 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 cups crushed graham crackers
6 tablespoons melted butter
1/4 cup granulated sugar
8 ounces softened cream cheese
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (or lime juice)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sliced bananas
Vanilla wafers

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix graham crackers, butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Press into a 9×13-inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes until golden. Cool.
In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and vanilla extract; mix until creamy.
Spread custard mixture over cooled crust. Top with banana slices and crushed vanilla wafers. Chill for 4 hours or until firm. Cut into bars.

Notes

Use digestive biscuits if graham crackers are unavailable. Substitute lime juice for lemon. For a firmer crust, chill after pressing. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
