Ingredients
2 overripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional: banana slices or chocolate chips for topping
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper
Mash bananas in a bowl until smooth
Melt butter in the microwave for 45 seconds
Whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture
Sift cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt into a separate bowl
Gradually add wet ingredients to the dry mixture and stir until just combined
Scrape batter into the prepared pan
Top with banana slices or chocolate chips (optional)
Bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick inserts cleanly
Cool completely before slicing into 12 squares
Notes
Use 3 bananas if not overripe
Replace butter with halal ghee for dietary compliance
Coconut sugar can substitute granulated sugar
