Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 cup unsalted butter
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
Blue gel food coloring
Fondant (white, black, pink)
Tropical edible flowers or candies
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans.
2. Mix the butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs one at a time.
3. Sift in flour, baking powder, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
4. Divide batter into pans and bake for 25–30 minutes.
5. Let cakes cool completely; then level and layer with frosting.
6. Apply crumb coat, chill, then frost with blue icing.
7. Shape and place fondant face and ears on top.
8. Decorate with tropical touches like flowers or leaves.
Notes
You can use strawberry or citrus sponge for added flavor. Store in fridge if using fondant. Ears can be supported with toothpicks.
