Ingredients
1 pound unsalted butter, softened
3 cups granulated sugar
6 large eggs, room temperature
4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and grease a 10-inch tube or bundt pan generously.
2. Cream the butter and sugar together until pale and fluffy—about 4–5 minutes.
3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture, alternating with milk.
5. Stir in vanilla and almond extract.
6. Pour batter evenly into prepared pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake for 80–90 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
8. Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
9. Slice and serve plain or with fresh berries and whipped cream.
