Ingredients
9 lasagna noodles (cooked al dente)
1 lb lean ground beef
2 cups low-fat cottage cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 large egg
2½ cups marinara sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
2. Brown the beef in a skillet until fully cooked. Drain.
3. Mix cottage cheese, egg, seasoning, and half the parmesan in a bowl.
4. Spread ½ cup marinara in baking dish.
5. Layer noodles, cheese mix, beef, mozzarella, and sauce. Repeat twice.
6. Top with remaining sauce, cheese, and parmesan. Cover with foil.
7. Bake 25 min covered, then 15 min uncovered.
8. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
Use dry curd cottage cheese for firmer texture.
Freeze one batch for future meals.
Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for a veggie option.
