No reviews

This Greek Honey Pie is a creamy, naturally sweetened dessert made with eggs, milk, and fragrant Greek honey. Infused with cinnamon and optional orange zest, it’s a light yet deeply satisfying pie inspired by traditional Mediterranean flavors.

  • Total Time: 3 hours (including chilling)
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

1 unbaked pie crust (homemade or store-bought)

For the Custard Filling:

2 cups whole milk or half-and-half

3 large eggs

½ cup good-quality Greek honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

⅛ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon orange zest (optional)

Optional Toppings:

2 tablespoons chopped walnuts or almonds

Drizzle of honey

Extra cinnamon for dusting

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a pie dish with the crust.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth.

3. Warm the milk slightly, then whisk it slowly into the eggs.

4. Add honey, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and orange zest (if using), and whisk until well combined.

5. Pour the custard mixture into the unbaked pie crust.

6. Sprinkle nuts on top if using.

7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, until the edges are set and the center jiggles slightly.

8. Remove from oven and let cool completely.

9. Drizzle with extra honey and dust with cinnamon before serving, if desired.

Notes

Use a floral or wildflower Greek honey for the most authentic flavor.

Don’t overbake—custard should still have a slight jiggle when removed from oven.

Chilling the pie allows flavors to deepen and makes slicing easier.

Pairs beautifully with coffee or herbal tea.
