1/3 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips or chunks (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.

2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.

3. Whisk in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.

4. Fold in chocolate chips if using. Do not overmix.

5. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.

6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the center is just set but still soft.

7. Let cool slightly before slicing for clean, gooey squares.
