Ingredients
2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced or in pearls
1 cup fresh basil leaves
2 tbsp balsamic glaze
Sea salt, to taste
Cracked black pepper, optional
Instructions
1. Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves.
2. Slice the mozzarella if using a large ball.
3. On a large white platter, arrange alternating rows of tomatoes and mozzarella in a candy cane shape.
4. Tuck basil leaves between each tomato and mozzarella layer for a wreath effect.
5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.
6. Add a pinch of sea salt and black pepper if desired.
Notes
Prepare ingredients a few hours in advance and assemble the wreath just before serving.
Use mozzarella pearls for a quicker prep.
For best visual appeal, serve on a white or light-colored platter.
Do not refrigerate assembled wreath for more than 1 hour to preserve texture.
