Ingredients
2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup water
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
8 oz mascarpone cheese
1 pack ladyfingers (Savoiardi)
Optional: blueberry jam or compote, limoncello
Instructions
1. In a saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water.
2. Simmer until berries burst and form a syrup. Strain and cool.
3. In a bowl, whip mascarpone, heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and lemon zest until smooth.
4. Fold 2–3 tbsp of the blueberry syrup into the cream.
5. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into blueberry syrup.
6. Layer soaked ladyfingers in dish, spread mascarpone cream, then add jam or compote.
7. Repeat layers and finish with mascarpone cream.
8. Top with fresh blueberries and lemon zest.
9. Refrigerate 6 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
Make ahead: Best flavor after overnight chilling.
Use fresh or frozen blueberries for convenience.
Optional: Add limoncello to the syrup for an adult twist.
Serve in cups or jars for elegant presentation.
