Ingredients
1 box yellow or spice cake mix
3 ripe bananas (mashed)
2 eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
1/2 cup sour cream (optional, for moisture)
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, mash bananas.
3. Add cake mix, eggs, oil, and sour cream. Mix just until combined.
4. Fold in cinnamon, nuts, or chocolate chips if using.
5. Pour into loaf pan and smooth the top.
6. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Let cool 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Don’t overmix—stop once the batter comes together.
Use extra-ripe bananas for best flavor.
You can use muffin tins instead of a loaf pan for mini banana breads.
